About the Leadership Post

Welcome to The Leadership Post - a blog dedicated to being the “go to” resource for managers and leaders who want practical information on how to manage and lead effectively.

The Leadership Post is targeted to line managers and leaders as well as to the human resource professionals who support them.

Over the last twenty plus years, working internally in human resources as well as externally as a consultant, I’ve amassed a huge amount of knowledge and experience in all areas of management and leadership. Helping managers and leaders succeed has always been my passion and I want to share what I know with them so they can be successful.

I’ve also become intrigued with social media and social networks and how companies are using them as learning and collaboration tools. As such, so you can expect to hear some of my thoughts on that topic.

I invite your comments and welcome your feedback.

About Joyce

I am a leadership consultant who has worked globally for, and consulted to, some of the world’s largest companies including American Express, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, JetBlue, JP Morgan Chase, The McGraw-Hill Companies, MetLife and Pfizer.

The focus of my consulting is advising and coaching senior executives on how to build effective leadership capabilities for themselves, their teams and their organizations.

I acknowledge that change is the norm and that business acumen alone is no longer sufficient to be an effective leader.  I am passionate about helping leaders develop the new skills I believe are needed to meet the myriad of challenges they face today.  I help them work collaboratively in a virtual team structure, flexibly adapt to cultural and generational differences, inspire innovation and adopt a consumer’s mindset.

Previously, I held a series of senior human resource positions with Citigroup’s Investment Bank where I gained broad and diverse exposure to human resource and talent management initiatives.

I am affiliated with Duke Corporate Education where I am a coach/facilitator for their global leadership programs. I’ve served on the Board of the New York Human Resources Planning Society and am past president of the New York Chapter Psychological Type (MBTI).  I speak and write on leadership and multigenerational issues.

I live in New York City with my husband, Albie, who is an attorney.
